For more than half of my life - since I learned to drive, to be exactly - I love old and very old cars. American cars have long been my favorites, but as i went elder, interest in British and especially French classic - the "Grand Routiers" - grew.

My present collectible cars are a 1956 Packard Executive 2door hardtop with 352ci V8 engine, "torsion Level Ride" what means suspension of front and rear axle by 4 torsion bars. These are assisted by two more working on the rear axle. They electrically correct height differences via relais. The car further has Twin Ultramatic, Packard's own automatic transmission with 3 forward speeds, 2 drive ranges (much like modern sport/economy ranges, but mechanically operated with direct clutch, power steering, power brakes, power front seat bench, and power windows. Original "wonderbar" radio works...

The other one is a 1976 Pontiac Grand Prix LJ in Golden Anniversary trim -one of 4801 built. It is fully equipped with a 400 V8. As a daily driver of earlier year, it has to wait for a restoration. This car was called the "t0in cloud"in my family, hence my nick name....
