dsl ◊ 2013-11-24 22:22	Black comedy set in student medical centre of fictional English university ("Lowlands") with 2 series each of 7 eps filmed at Birmingham University(S1 1986, S2 1988). Later had an unexpected one-off sequel A Very Polish Practice. Some merciless satire, several very surreal running jokes (eg the thieving nuns) and some excellent characters and acting - highly recommended, but some themes look fairly dated now. -- Last edit: 2014-01-01 21:07:22
dsl ◊ 2013-11-28 22:37	Various background pictures from S1: Ep3 VW camper: Ep4 Astra, Mrs Buzzard's Fiat 127 and a Fiesta Mk2 Ghia: Ep7 various university car parks: There's a silver Regatta with top spec black rear spoiler, a blue-grey Chevette estate, blue Mazda 323 hatch, a red Mini City, and a red Allegro estate amongst the delights, but no better captures possible

I think this is too early for bBurago, but Politoys very unusual in UK - any ideas??? Print on wall - reproduced as yellow/black racer, #15: - something like a longtail Ferrari 365BB Le Mans/IMSA racer?? PCs - being a university, probably cutting-edge in 1987:

dsl ◊ 2014-01-01 21:17	Bob Buzzard's models and pictures (continued). In S2 he has two wall pictures (which look to me like late 20s Bentley 3-litre and RR Silver Ghost) and 3 big models on his desk - red Model T, a green veteran something, and a glossy black Jag E-Type FHC. These keep appearing, disappearing and reappearing between episodes.
