Didn't add: the usual American halftrack painted to look "German." It's only seen when Helm and Kappler drive to see Himmler, and goes by in a blur with their Mercedes blocking it the entire time. |

I guess the Nazis got Captain von Trapp after all:![]() All jokes aside, very good movie about the real life Monsignor Hugh O'Flaherty played to perfection by Mr. Gregory Peck. Nice to see him back doing good guy roles after his thoroughly disturbing turn as Josef Mengele a few years before this. |

FYI, he did get in a made-for-TV remake of "On Golden Pond" with Julie Andrews back in 2001. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0282040/combined No cars in that one, though. |
