My mother saw this movie with some friends of hers. The one Meryl Streep movie I'm looking forward to is "Doubt," and that's because of Amy Adams. |

i"m surprised people who have watched the film havent picked up on this....if you take away all the Abba songs, the movie is a bad rip off of the 1960s Sophia Loren movie "Buena Serra Mrs Campbell"!! |

It was Gina Lollobrigida and not Sophia Loren that starred in Buona Sera, Mrs. Campbell .gif ";)") and yes, anyone that saw it, would realise that Mamma Mia! 'borrows' the plot from the earlier film.edit: according to Wikipedia there was a stage-musical version of Buona Sera, Mrs. Campbell called "Carmelina" that was a big flop in 1979. That Mamma Mia! is the big success it is shows they got the formula right this time.
