Great job so far, excellent captures from the series ... ![]() It starts a new season soon doesn’t it? |

Thank you good sir ![]() Indeed, the fourth season will start soon. However, I have only seen the first two (I own them both on DVD). I have already begun captures from the second season and I hope to soon buy the third season. However, don't expect captures from the third season anytime soon ![]() |

Red78: Sorry, I missed your comment earlier. I hope to purchase season 3 soon and watch it. Hopefully that'll be out of the way by the summer. We'll wait and see when season 4 is released. Do you have any pictures of your car? You can add them on here for future reference if you wish. wasserpeier: It's not normal at all, just for dramatic purposes. |

Does anybody know what Tim Riggins' truck was? I thought it was a 1987 Chevy Silverado... |

You didn't bother to check the page? It's listed right there: /vehicle_238742-Chevrolet-K-20-1985.html |

Call me a non-mechanic or not-so-smart-at-vehicles, but what does K-20 mean? And it says Silverado right on the side. I saw the 20 above the Silverado badge but doesn't that mean something to do with the engine or power like a Dodge Ram Cummins or Hemi? |

Silverado is the trim of the vehicle, at that time models were C-20 & K-20, for 2WD & 4WD. |

Yes, exactly. A common misconception is that Silverado has been the name of all Chevrolet pick-up trucks for decades now. In reality, the model name of the trucks did not become Silverado until the 1999 re-designed models came along. Before then it was just the highest trim that the C/K-Series trucks (as they were generically referred to) came equipped with. That truck is clearly a 4WD (just look at the lift), which denotes a K-Series. Since the 20 is visible, that pretty much indicates it's a K-20. |

Indeed, the C and K letters denoted 2-wheel-drive and 4-wheel-drive respectively. The numbers 10, 20 and 30 denoted ½-ton, ¾-ton and 1-ton respectively. The differences in 10, 20 and 30 pickups were purely mechanical, as in heavier-duty suspension components, springs, differentials, etc. Thus a 20 had more payload and towing capacity than a 10, while a 30 had more payload and towing capacity than both 10 and 20. The letters and numbers are combined to give the name and description of the truck. Example: Chevrolet K-30 (4-wheel-drive 1-ton) Chevrolet C-10 (2-wheel-drive ½-ton) and so on. Silverado was indeed a trim level (the high-end luxury trim) and added almost $1,000 extra to the based price alone, not including other optional extras. |
