Based on Genesis II and Planet Earth, two earlier TV films helmed by Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry. This one, he either wasn't involved at all or was involved but went uncredited, wikipedia says both. John Saxon was also the lead role in Planet Earth. This, like Genesis II and Planet Earth, was meant to be a TV pilot but was never picked up and so aired as a TV movie instead. Airdate: July 13th, 1975 |
