Thanks Jplemoine,

Filmed in Munich, a year before the Olympics Games, and in the same year and place where was filmed Dollars, with Goldie Hawn and Warren Beatty

Mouais c'est le titre canadien ça. Même s'ils ont aussi indiqué "France" je n'ai jamais entendu parler du film sous ce nom. Et comme "Charlie et la chocolaterie" est aussi repris...

The movie's set in America, but it was filmed in Munich. Don't get why it was made like that.

Filming in West Germany was probably cheaper than in the US.

Know that I think about actually, I think that the reason why they picked a European city was probably because it would fit the style they were looking for better.

I heard the studios in Munich were cheaper to use then anywhere in Hollywood.

The same sound stages were used for Cabaret a year later.

Is it me or are some of the registrations on cars in the street scenes mocked up? A few are numeric only or have formats that don't look like the usual German series.

Generally yes, but Switzerland an Belgium should be mentioned, too.
But Germany is the country with the lowest chocolade prices.
