Screenplay by Shelagh Delaney, directed by Albert Finney ("Personal asst to director : Stephen Frears"), horrible music by Misha Donat.

With Albert Finney

(and Liza Minnelli),

Billie Whitelaw,

Colin Blakely (Smokey Pickles) and Alan Lake.

Since I found the whole thing just as boring as the main character seems to be, I won't add any further comment.

Shot on locations: London, M1, Salford and Old Trafford, and… where did I read that the cottage was located in Derbyshire?

The LD could be 1955-67, the FX4 more difficult - looks a 63+ suffix plate, but I'm unsure when front indicators replaced bubbles on roof - it may be 67-68, so brand new for filming. Or I'm wrong and it doesn't have front indicators. Much better just to switch the picture to the Rapier (I think a 1961 S3a for colour).

(Ô mon gentil seigneur Jésus-Christ, ai-je donc offensé ton Père à ce point ?)
… You're my Elder here, dsl, I let you do whatever you want with those pics I sweat hard to fetch for you.

(Nah but really, if you think it's better, have the Rapier.)

The front indicators were added mid-late 1968 when the rear-lights were changed and the 'bunny-ears' on the roof removed so after filming.
