3-minute road safety film about driving too fast at night, especially in rain. Taken from COI Collection Volume Six: Worth the Risk?. Can't find an online copy. Filmed in London, dramatic voiceover by Doctor Who, all filmed thru windscreen of a car driving along - this is the only clue what it might be - possibly a Ford????? Absolutely millions of cars seen all the time, but most are irrelevant 1 and pretty much what you'd expect in 1980 traffic. Some of the more interesting stuff 1] Rootes jewels - a Sunbeam Stiletto with vinyl roof; Chrysler Avenger Estate 2] something I thought at night could be an ingowagon, but in daylight became a Swedish barge 3] lesser makes: dark BMW 2000 & yellow Fiat 124 S2 coupe; black Renault 12 minicab - Reliant Regal 3/30 in right edge - looked like estate, but can only be saloon or Supervan III - something green US on left; Fiat 128 estate, maybe 74-75 N plate so S2 |
