![]() Written and directed by Ranald MacDougall. I was wondering why a movie with Gina Lollobrigida as female lead was not well known. Then I saw it. It is not really awful, it is clumsy. It could have been—seen the subject—a Dahlesque (or better, with such colors, Sirkian) melodrama. But some cheap ending dialogues, a bad lead characterization for Franciosa, a general over-acting, a poor editing, and the very mediocre Adolph Deutsch's score make it more soapish than flamingly melodramatic. Anyway, more than Anthony Franciosa, Ernest Borgnine have a few great moments. And Gina's fans can have a go to it. She is not only beautiful (but she is, gosh, she is), ![]() she has also two or three scenes (especially the framing by the police, and the dance in the end) where she can show a lot. (But, whatever the title may have suggested you, she, er, don't go naked anywhere in the movie. It doesn't matter.) NB : le titre français est débile. -- Last edit: 2015-11-02 05:25:34 |
