In order to achieve all of those places in one place, most of the film was made in South Africa. However, the director Owen Harris and his team did an extraordinary hit-and-run visit to New York where I think they shot for about 20 hours straight to get as much out of one day as they could. http://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/mediapacks/gamechangers/writer The only bits filmed in the UK are backgrounds for car scenes.
