Will the honest young heir coming from the country withstand the deceitful people from the big city? One thing is sure, Jean Arthur's voice definitely hurts the ears :D

Also starring Lionel Stander (a.k.a. Max in Hart to Hart, 28-year old in this movie), as Cornelius Cobb:

Shot in 1936, a remake was made as TV series in 1969 and as movie (Mr. Deeds, vehicles identified here) in 2002.

(Time codes given here are from a 111 min version of the movie, but the normal release is 115 min long)

A [*][*] double-deck bus is also visible in the movie, but I'm not sure there's enough visible parts to help identify it:

Note the nice shape of the street light in foreground of the last picture.

Hey, eLMeR I quite like Jean Arthur’s voice although I could be in the minority.

IMDb wrote [...] That asset? It was, of course, her squeaky, frog-like voice, which silent-era cinema audiences had simply no way of perceiving, much less appreciating. [...]

Wikipedia wrote It was her distinctive, throaty voice - in addition to some stage training on Broadway in the early 1930s - that eventually helped make her a star in the talkies.

I don't know who is in the minority (could be me too), but all is sure is that her strange voice is famous :D

In the background vehicles shots, the first line with the two pics dominated by the trombone player; the first pic has two Ford Model As, the next one is a 1929 Buick, and the third pic has a 1933 Buick recognisable in the background.
