 It's a Canadian produced film and the Dailu has strong CDN roots. Doesn't exclude US, but suggests CDN circuits - eg Mosport - might be best target.

 Yes, so Formula Junior at Mosport racetrack, probably in '63. CRCA marshals can be seen in the movie as well. Maybe the race is listed here:
