It's interesting that all of the coaches here are front engine and either half cab or full fronted versions on older design half cab type chassis. If the film had been made two or three years later, the front line fleets of the big companies would look very different being on the new underfloor engined chassis, with bodies like the Burlingham Seagull. How you view this depends on whether you like the half cab designs, or the ECW Queen Mary on the Bristol chassis, or go for the modern. 20 minute film about organised coach trips all over England. Pics upgraded from copy on British Transport Films Volume Nine: Just the Ticket 2-DVD set. Several sequences mix similar but different coaches in the same footage, and many coaches appear in different points through the film. |
