dsl ◊ 2015-11-15 19:18	15 minute whizz through lots of aspects of latest British design, taken from this COI Collection Volume Two: Design for Today DVD set. One of earliest COI things to be filmed in colour, so they make the most of it - some cars, boats and planes - but no trains. Most of film is home and office stuff - furniture, fabrics, white goods, kitchen- and table-ware (particularly for some reason lots of teapots). Some architecture - schools, homes, offices, shopping centres and a brief glimpse of missiles. Film has virtually no commentary to identify what's being shown or to explain why chosen. Stuff we had (or very similar) when I were a lad Those whisks were excellent robust designs - my mum's lasted 50+ years and still used; I may well have had my first bath in something like that one; my dad had a small tray (for cuff-links?) with that old car on it; we had that exact teaset.
