well, recently I have bought a suit in this colour for my political engagement (for only 89 €, 100% Polyester, delivered from China in four days).

I was referring to the cut rather than the colour. You have to be really careful with double breasted suits, as you can end up looking like a ventriloquist’s dummy. For business, I used to favour dark single breasted suits by Aquascutum, for more relaxed formality, a blazer, dark blue with brass buttons and teamed with light grey trousers, and for informality a Bentley Drivers Club boiler suit.

Be careful on dry days in polyester, you might set fire to someone when shaking hands. The only materials to wear are wool or cotton.

I own tailored (from Thailand, I'm way too poor for the Savile Row) wollen suits, but they are in the wrong colour. I need a grey suit as it's our PARTY-uniform. It's 3x XL, but still too small (well, China..)

For coming slightly back to topic: isn't it funny, that back in the 70ies noone did sweat in the full polyester-clothes?

The Aquascutum suit I wear for funerals is now about twenty years old, but still reasonably smart. I wore it for work a couple of days a week for several years. I have another one of their suits in a mid grey checked pattern for going to the races, but as I have lost so much weight it no longer fits properly.

There is no point in looking at their modern stuff, they no longer do proper suits, just these things that make one look like a strangled earwig.
