:??: Because of the US Cars? That would be the only point, all background architecture and other details are pure European.

No, look at this: /vehicle_145586-Dodge-Intrepid-1993.html and /vehicle_145587-Chevrolet-Caprice-1991.html and /vehicle_145583-Pontiac-Trans-Sport-1994.html . The Intrepid pic has a Toronto street can in the background. Also look at the cars in the open air US scenes. Those buildings and streetlights are differently North American (I'd guess Toronto).
