A Cadillac hearse briefly visible in the beginning, although I didn't think it was worth adding-

I always wonder when this movie took place. cause if it was in the 1940s or 50s, then Why is there a 1990 LIncoln?

The Newest Car: 1990 Lincoln (Maybe the Mail Truck)
The Oldest Car: 1948 ACF-Brill Model IC-41 (Maybe)

Weird huh?

Nice hearse, 67 or 68 three-way.

It's supposed to be a "timeless" movie.

I'm pretty sure is just takes place in 1997, mainly because of the equipment the exterminator uses, and the surveillance camera in the animal shelter.

When exactly DOES this take place...Here you've got ,40s styled buildings, 40s factory equipment, the clothing, then you've got the medical equipment, the early 90s TV (diner scene), and the late 70s/mid 80s cars...

You're more or less answered your own question. It has a stylised retro setting that, entirely deliberately, can't be tied down to any real historical era.

Well, they mentioned Fidel Castro in the movie, and he took power of Cuba in 1959, and the quarter flipped by Ernie and Lars (Nathan Lane and Lee Evans) is from 1972, so I think it's safe to say that it takes place somewhere between the early 1970s and 1997... Oh, and as for the 1940s-style factory equipment... well, you do realise that that was a very old factory the hadn't been updated in years, right? That was actually a fairly important plot point in the movie... I'm actually a bit more corious about WHERE the movie takes place, Caesor (Christopher Walken)'s van had Delaware plates, yet the movie contained excess amounts of snow, old-age architecture, and rather large mountains...???

More cars ready to be validated.

There were a few cars that were dark; including a Mercedes-Benz coupe and a Jaguar sedan.

Also if the Ford I added is too dark as well, I was going to add an extra photo in its comments (pending if it gets accepted) to look more at it.

As for the Cadillac hearse, I honestly didn't realize that modell posted it in this page's comments awhile back until I submitted the cars, yet it has a minor role and I have some extra shots of it.

SMALL REQUEST

I try to remember an 80s - early 90s comedy movie but can remember just one scene of it

there is a van with a insect on the roof like this it's involved in a chases and crashes into a building (think maybe a restaurant or shoping center) , the van comes to stop but the insect on the roof gets lose and goes forwards and slides on the floor and scares people around believing to be real
