You will not provoke a riot, it's a fact: the original is always better than some fake-bullshit.

This goes for the car, too. We had this discussion at annother pic of the 2008 Mustang Shelby. It's annother example for a ridiculous try to re-animate a great historic name with a semi-lookalike modern car.

I have to admit that is a pretty stylin' set a wheels but I think it would be better suited for somthing other than knight rider. as cool as it is, theres no way that car can hold a candel to the original KITT. I dare someone to tell me im wrong.

The only background cars i think i didn't add (because i wasn't sure of the model) were the Volvo S(something-probably 40), Ford L or LN series truck and not sure if the Land Rover LR2/Freelander was shown long enough to capture. There was also the Cobra but I wasn't sure if it's a real one or a kit. Being a Ford movie I would guess a real one.

@ahight, did you already have captures? I was going to work on them now, but since you've already added vehicles I guess you are maybe a step ahead of me. Since you are east coast and I am midwest, was it over for you an hour before me?

Anyway, I had never seen a tv program with that many commercial interuptions. It was probably 40% commercials. For a while it was an commercial break every 5-6 minutes, quite distracting.

I actually liked it. As a kid I used to watch it every week when they originally aired. This had the same cheesy acting and some of the special effects were just as poor as the original show. I hope it does come back as a TV series.

W-O...let me know if you disagree with any of the star ratings. I'm always not sure if something should be a 2** or a barely used 3***

I enjoyed the show, what scared me was the way the GMC Yukon folded up. It probably would have held up a little better had they left the engine in the truck, :) I told my wife, this will more than likely become a new show, they just didnt call it a pilot.

This is a trend in automotive design that I've hated for a long time. Sure it's okay for a few novelty cars, like the Plymouth Prowler or the Chrysler PT Cruiser, but they're doing it with everything these days, and that's no good.

You could probably say that the original is a long Pontiac commercial, although it certainly felt like less of one. In MAD Magazine they did a spoof of the series called "Knut Rider," where the damsel in distress asked David Hasselhoff "Where do you find a car like this?" and he replied "Any Pontiac dealer. Just tell them you want the James Bond package."

Unfortunately Pontiac doesn't make the Firebird anymore, or any other sports cars, and they always have to have something brand-spanking new for a Hollywood blockbuster (product placement), I guess a 2002 Firebird (final year of production) wouldn't do :/

Hi CSF, "9/8c" means the show is first broadcast at 9pm (0300 GMT) in New York for East Coast markets, and the Central Time (Midwestern) markets view it at 8pm local time. The West Coast markets get their shows I think at the same local time as the East Coast markets, usually three hours afterward. Any Left-Coasters care to chime in?

They should have kept with a Pontiac. I guess that's what happens when Ford finances your movie. Pontiac doesn't really have a good 2-door to use though (G5 and G6 wouldn't work). Perhaps they could have used the G8.

I liked the movie, hopefully it will be a weekly series this fall or in January. With the strike I don't think there will be time for many shows to debut this fall. So NBC will need shows to fill the holes and Knight Rider could easily fill one of those holes by filming episodes this spring or summer. I agree with Wampa-One that there was way too many commercials. KITT is good as a Mustang. Read somewhere there will never be any turbo boosts. The Foundation will be less secret with direct F.B.I. involvement.

To add to what Roadmaster said, sometimes networks and their announcers will go even further, like saying that a show will air at "9 Eastern, 8 Central, 7 Mountain, and 6 Pacific." They tend to leave out the time zones in Alaska & Hawaii though.
