![]() ![]() ![]() 25 minute film with "Detailed footage of old and new methods of casting moulds, and views around the Fullwood Iron Foundry, New Stevenston" in North Lanarkshire. One of 4 steel-themed films on this DVD ![]() and can be seen here in National Library of Scotland film archive. No imdb entry. But it's a weird one with 2 different titles - DVD calls it "Fullwood Foundries, Mossend", NLS says "Fullwood Foundry: New Stevenston", and the only quoted date is "(c. 1970)", which is pants because it's got a Cavalier [B] and Cortina Mk5 in it, so some at least of it is 1982-ish. Voice-over at start explains it's an amateur compilation (by Tom Urie - see title card) of in-house clips assembled into an archive mash-up and sent up the line. But as it's recognised by NLS and included on the DVD, it's legit to include here. But it's boring, full of foundry interior shots with not much else. Very little vehicle action (only 3 entries posted) or anything else to recommend it. |
