This documentary ( Link to "www.amazon.de" ) deals not only with the beginnings of the German Autobahn network and the very strange way the Nazis regarded the Autobahn in terms of idealogy, but also with the motorization in Germany, Hitler's love for cars (Mercedes in particular), motor racing and the connection to propaganda, vehicle manufacturing in the third Reich and car culture among people with a high disposable income.
Many old vehicles in there.

The Ford factory in Cologne (often seen in the background in older "Alarm für Cobra 11" episodes)

Building site of the Volkswagen factory in the newly founded "Stadt des KdF-Wagens bei Fallersleben" (city of the KdF car near Fallersleben) - now Wolfsburg

Do I get the permission for adding cars?

Not sure, but no one else has answered you yet so I'll give it a bump.

For me it has two of the things we look for (a link to cars and a DVD release but no IMDB - or even similar - information page). We don't always need all three of those requirements of course.

I support it. I've entered several comparable UK films (mid-century civilian documentaries) and they get a good response from our happy band of enthusiasts.

As you probably know I'm not fond of these documentaries.
Has it "useful" special contents or will it be again the same kind of vehicles than what is already listed?

I know, and I wouldn't add them, if there wouldn't be any interesting cars. This one contains:

- many 1920s and 1930s cars, but probably easy to identify since they are often the "main attraction" in the video and therefore more focussed and sometimes details are visible
- some race cars
- some very old (around 1890 - 1910) cars - rather easy to identify as they have many writings etc on them
- car park scenes, with many cars visible in the background
- many shots of cars being built at Ford Cologne
- a late 1930s car accident
- a Mercedes with very odd body style
- few trucks
- an Opel Kapitän (ca. 1960) with a very strange plate which might interest ingo

Is it all library/stock footage or do they film and talk about the old cars in the current day?

Unfortunately, it's only stock footage, but the quality isn't that bad.

If added, maybe not much of these - such pics can still go in comments and be added if there are especially rare ones in the pics.

Has any decision been made yet?

THis all sounds very interesting, so I'd gor for validating, too. Definetely more interesting than any studio- or CGI-made blockbuster-junk.

@dsl: I know it`s totally off-topic but here`s some consolation for you. Certainly nothing you haven't heard of so far, but still a nice piece of writing:

Interesting page robi :)
Many unknown vehicles though, and I won't help much I'm afraid :/

@cl82 - Thank you - excellent account - well written mix of fact and knowledgeable opinion. Probably knew 95% of it but it's the remaining 5% that was gold dust for me.

I have to thank you for this nice piece of music. Sadly, I've quite a gap in education as far as Tori Amos is concerned.
