How much are/were common the Alfas in Hong Kong? |

No, it's for the wedding of the characters in this movie. In 70-80s there were a lot of Alfa Romeo in Hong Kong. At that time most of the Hong Kong vehicles were European products. Nowadays fewer and fewer, because of Japanese cars. On Hong Kong streets most of Alfa Romeos are older versions: they're seriously defeated by Japaneses! One reason is Hong Kong people like Japanese goods very much. And another reason is the price of European vehicles is generally higher than Japanese products in Hong Kong. For example, the price of VW Golf is equal to Toyota Camry in Hong Kong, and Camry is bigger than VW Golf. And, the maintainance cost is a big deal: Hong Kong people know Japan very much, and they can find components from Japan easily. But they have very few channels to purchase components from Europe. -- Last edit: 2014-02-05 05:26:51 |
