While the kid is making his first visit to the karate dojo, a Jensen Healey passes by. You can see the car as he opens the door and goes in. My son has a Jensen Healey, so I notice these things. It's been a while since I've seen the movie, but I believe the car is yellow.

When Daniel and Miyagi first pull into Miyagi's property, the farthest car from his house is a turquoise and white Nash Metropolitan. The black car next to the yellow 1948 Ford looks like a 1949 or 1950 Ford.

I think thewheelman may be right about this being a Jensen Healey, and although there are only a few on the site it is maybe not visible enough to list?
