Yes, her stepfather, Pat played by Luke Wilson, was Starman's sidekick, the only surviving member of the Justice League. Joel McHale plays Starman, we see him in the first episode. Stargirl believes she was chosen because Starman was her father, except several episodes in, we meet her "real" father, who comes around looking for money.
