I had no clue this movie (which isn't even about cars) would have so many cars. An interstate traffic pile-up and resulting traffic jam (22 minutes into the movie) probably contributed.

I would be remiss if I didn't point out this is a great film that is considered by many to be director Robert Altman's masterpiece. It was nominated for five Oscars and won one for Best Original Song, for the Keith Carradine song "I'm Easy" (also a very good song).

All of the cars in that last thumbnail--the Olds Cutlass, the car in the middle (not a Buick Special but a Chevelle) and the Fury--already have their own pages. They were involved in the pileup.

The wreck is set off by what appears to be a '71 or so Javelin (!) hauling a sofa that falls off and lands on the freeway. Yes, stuff like that happens on our interstate highways here in the U.S. South.
