The obvious one as their only near hit. Went to one of their concerts at the time because a flatmate was a big fan, but didn't become a big worshipper myself - probably because it was during my grunge phase.

Grunge phase? I always thought that you were a glamrocker/Bay City roller...

You used to mention Demis Roussos quite often, that alone is reason enough.

Demis had his moments, but stuff like this, this and later this were some of my music life-changers ...

This song is better. But I'm still in my "grunge phase" and I also listen to music like this as well.

@Dsl: Thanks a lot. I knew the two "Krautrock"-tunes but had never heard of Uncle Topelo so far. Besides, I had always thought that no one in the UK except for maybe a couple of music journalists knows about the Krautrock-genre.

Krautrock was one of my lonelier musical adventures - never really made sense to my music comrades, which probably made me pursue it further. But Julian Cope was a big fan and flag-waver - Link to "www.discogs.com" , https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krautrocksampler before his brain emigrated to another galaxy. Uncle Tupelo released 4 albums - all brilliant - then imploded, with one half (Jeff Tweedy) becoming Wilco and the other (Jay Farrar) becoming Son Volt. But they never did anything as good as the Tupelo stuff.

@dsl: Thanks a lot for the information! I knew about Wilco as I used to have one of their albums (I think it was "A ghost is born"), but as I said, I had never heard about Uncle Tupelo before. And sadly I'm not much of a Krautrock-connaisseur either. I'm sure there is still a lot of great stuff to discover, but it somehow opened my eyes to something even better: Progressive Rock. BTW, Greg Lake passed away a couple of days ago. What a loss.
