I must admit I'm not very fond of Harold Pinter's screenwrighting, even when his efforts are sustained by big Peter Finch and Ann Bancroft. Oh, and James Mason, too. But it certainly won't be my worst film watching of the week, no sir. Carwise, I named them all, yes sir! It's a premiere for me, and I don't care about my mistakes, you'll correct them. Besides, I was wise enough no to try to give them dates. There is in background an ever present Anglia Estate (and a Land-Rover too, but out of focus), two kinds of ceremonial Vanden Plas Princess, a Wolseley 15/60, a Morris Minor, a Herald and the regular FX4, a Jaguar Mk.X, no Panhard but a very important Renault Floride. Floride, not Caravelle. How do I know? This way: "Son #1 —I like your car… Son #2 —It's a Floride! Jo (Bancroft) —Yes. Son #1 —It's a good car. fast." You're right, boys.
