Ah ben zut, pas d'pot, le film n'est pas terrible… est un film policier assez noir de Paul Wendkos, avec des acteurs au niveau de cette série B, Darren McGavin, Margaret Hayes, Warren Stevens, pas trop mal pour ce film pas trop mal où, comme le fait remarquer un reviewer de IMDb, on voit que le Code Hayes est en train de craquer : un flic est prêt à tromper sa femme pour mener à bien une enquête. Ts-ts-ts… Une curiosité qui tombe comme un cheveu dans la soupe, au milieu du film : Bobby Helms singing "Jacqueline (You're The One For Me)". Product placement? Anyway, this B-movie is not terrific, but not terrible. Nicely photographied, filmed and paced (and edited, I suppose, since it's only 52-minute long), it treats us with nice extractible pics. But the cars are very mondane, I'm affraid. I nevertheless chose some a bit tricky, for your amusement, US car buffs. NB: the movie is made in 1958, but the action is set 'few years ago'.
