Queen Mary.....(but the picture was reversed)....also a Great Western Railway engine, possibly King Class built 1928-30.

Sweet train, :). I'm not good at putting names on British/English trians, American and Canadians from the 1900's to 1950's are easiest. I like the old New York Central Hudsons and the NYC 20th Century Limited. If people think I like cars a lot, it is nothing compared to how much I love trains. Nothing better in the world (non-living).

The black and white picture does not show how good looking the Great Western Locomotives were so a better one can be found here...... Link to "commons.wikimedia.org"

It also had an American connection. The first 'King' locomotive, number 6000 King George V was completed in 1927 and shortly afterwards it was shipped to America to participate in the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad centenary celebrations. There the engine was presented with a commemorative railroad locomotive bell and these are still carried by the locomotive today.

They are beautiful trains... I love all steam engines, mostly the classics like the Hudsons, Berkshires and the 4-4-2s. I also enjoy the 1900's through the 1950's, streamliners like the Milwaukee Road's Hiawatha, Norfolk & Western "J" and the streamlined diesels (Santa Fe Super Chief engines, etc).
