I have little or no knowledge of old Japanese shows execpt those that feature Godzilla or Gammera. I wanted to purchase season 1 of Kaiki Daisakusen at Tower Records but it was too expensive. MBSL65fan: Oh, Q-Ball! There are no more Tower Records! Yea, well. In Japan, they still exist. I visited there for winter break. Exxon is still Esso too.  |

Living in Sacramento, where Tower Records was headquartered, I followed the downfall of Tower Records closely. I believe the owner sold off the non-U.S. stores to keep the the company alive and the U.S stores open. The owner(s) of the non-U.S. stores kept the Tower Records name alive. But it was a losing effort and Tower Records in the U.S died because management couldn't keep up with the way the music landscape dramaticaly changed over the last decade or so. What was the famous store on L.A.'s Sunset Strip is likely to be torn down and replaced by a office/retail building. -- Last edit: 2008-02-06 02:10:14 |
