"World War II propaganda film that shows the wartime agricultural work of the Women's Institute." Variously dated as 1941 or 1942. have begun to realise these "documentaries" are very much staged pieces using the same group of main actors (ie those with speaking parts, who usually have very polished accents) as their faces keep reappearing across several films - although supporting cast of locals used for background in each case. Filmed in Callow Green village on Barton Broad, Norfolk. |
