Officially Season 10, Episode 2 in the Screen Two series, but is a self-contained film. An unusual and memorable story about disabled people in institutional care, with parallel strands from the 1920/30s and today (ie the 1990s), based on an incredible novel by William Horwood, although with 730+ pages and a very convoluted plot, it takes some dedicated reading to reach the end. Never released on VHS or DVD and rarely screened, but some genius has put it on youtube - low quality or better quality in 9 instalmemts :king: . No locations stated, but opening "1927" sequences are Yorkshire Dales and remainder looks Yorkshire-ish.

A lot of background 1* minibuses with disabled conversions, though impossible to get good captures - mostly Transits. Other 1*:
- coach at 20-30

- 1984 Vauxhall Astra Celebrity edition at 29-00

- posh late Rover SD1 in flashback at 52-00
[Image: 52-00sd1.jpg]
- a bit newer than the vaguely 1960s timing

Looks like High Royds Psychiatric Hospital, Menston, West Yorkshire - Link to "www.28dayslater.co.uk"

"Since its closure [2003], the site has been used as a film set for the film Asylum, as well as for television series No Angels, Bodies, Fat Friends, Heartbeat and The Royal. The drama Diamond Geezer starring David Jason which aired on ITV1 in March 2005 was also partly shot at High Royds." - wiki.
