Four part series from BBC Scotland first shown in 2015 and now being repeated on BBC1 (up here at least). Nothing on imdb and not available at this stage on DVD (although I guess from their usual practice that a DVD release is likely). BBC programme website and 1st episode on i-player.

Does what it says on the tin - a compilation of early home movies, with stories supplied by the descendants of the original film-makers to explain who/what/when. Am not giving this exhaustive treatment - just posting the really unusual things. If and when a DVD happens, it would deserve a full trawl because there's a lot more stuff shown. In the meantime for those keen on these old documentary compilations, enjoy it on i-player.

 Eps 1.01 to 1.03 are pretty much what you'd expect from the title - people filming their families doing things, usually on holiday. Ep 1.04 is unexpectedly different - a tribute to amateur film-makers who made "proper" films with scripts, titles, and storylines.

No idea whether any of these films were publicly shown, but seems amateur film clubs were very popular in 60s and 70s so they would have been seen by some small audiences at least.
