I wish more movies were filmed in the Northwestern United States.

#MeToo There are only few places they go filming today. California, New York area (Jersey, sometimes Pennsylvania) plus Chicago. More and more in New Mexico, but still not that much. I believe it's quite political and shows how out of touch with real America is Hollywood and the whole industry. ;)

They have started filming more films and series in Georgia, Alabama, New Orleans, and Florida (as well as North Carolina) so you could say they're filming in more places these days. Politics does occationally play in the choices in where media does get shot and edited but for the most part it seems to follow what places are willing to give tax breaks to productions (the places we both listed actively encourage filming while most rural states seem to look very unattractive for filming, either by image, lack of infrastructure for filming (lack of studios, filming equipment, tax breaks, picture vehicles, etc) or general attitude towards film making and what not. It's very hard to explain without going into deep details.

Added an '85 Mustang seen in a deleted scene that only exists as a very low-quality workprint. Supposedly, Sloth ramming the pipes into the ceiling caused apes to escape the zoo (played by actors in suits taken from one of Donner's previous movies) and go on a joyride in the '83 Mustang owned by Troy but this subplot was cut from the film early into post-production.
